Unfortunately, there are many artists in Detroit that seem to stay in the same place during their whole hip-hop career, ultimately never finding ways to evolve. It’s the artists that come out of no where and quickly make a name for themselves that impress the most. Apollo Brown is definitely in that latter category. The respect he has earned as a producer in such a short time is quite remarkable. Apollo Brown has released two instrumental albums, 2007′s Skilled Trade and 2009′s Make Do, along with winning the 2009 Detroit Red Bull Big Tune Championship, along with working with the likes of Finale, MaGestiK LeGenD, Danny Brown, Paradime, and Kam Moye aka Supastition.

The track “Hungry” comes from Apollo Brown’s latest album, The Reset, his first project since signing to Mello Music Group. The song features a massive hard-hitting Apollo Brown beat with verses from Rapper Big Pooh (of Little Brother) and Black Milk, recounting their thirst to make it in this rap game.
